Bluetooth pairing
|
Just bought some Bluetooth over ear headphones. Have put the Bluetooth on my Denon hi-fi and it says pairing. The blue light is flashing on my headphones, but they are not pairing. The info says the Denon will show on your appliance so click on it. Obviously, as they're headphones there is no screen to do so. Any help gratefully appreciated.

The chance of getting an informed and technically Sound piece of advice on here is remote. I suggest you stick to crisp flavours

Try contacting Denon and asking if they can supply a Bluetooth upgrade patch for your model.

It seems that the only Denon models to support Bluetooth headphones are :
AVR-X3600H AVR-X2600H AVR-X1600H AVR-S950H AVR-S750H AVR-S650H DRA-800H
My model is the lesser DM41. Thankfully I chose headphones that also have a wired connection so I'll still be able to use them if I want to listen loud in the early hours.

So. Can you pair the system with wireless speakers? If you can you can pair with headphones. Did you put the headphones into pairing mode? Generally thats a long press and a flashing light. The manual would confirm.

Maybe you simply need to press one of the buttons on the headphones while it's trying to pair.

I’ve got a Denon amp, quality bit of kit. Can set you back up to three grand.
Use it for my 7.1 system.
Haven’t bothered to try bluetoothing headphones through it though. Sort of negates the point of having decent speakers.

I have these sort of problems. Fucks me off. If they're so fucking clever, why can't they make these things easier to use?

Thanks Far Cough, I did try that. I've concluded that although my hi-fi has Bluetooth it is just for playing say music from a mobile phone through it. It doesn't have the facility to pair with headphones, which is kinda the main reason I bought the headphones!!
